Cemindia Projects has been declared the lowest (L1) bidder for a major Delhi Metro contract, quoting Rs 1,024.80 crore.
The project involves constructing twin tunnels using a tunnel boring machine (TBM) between Shivaji Stadium and Central Secretariat as part of the Phase-V(A) Central Vista Corridor. The scope includes precision TBM tunneling, a method well-suited for urban underground construction. The L1 designation, announced by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), marks a significant milestone for Cemindia Projects, which will deliver one of the most critical segments of the corridor.
This project is a key component of Delhi Metro’s ongoing expansion to accommodate the city’s growing public transportation needs.
